The sweatshirt is composed of organic cotton (80%) and recycled polyester (20%).

What is organic cotton? It's one grown without the use of artificial fertilizers and chemicals, which in turn makes its fibers stronger, more durable and of better quality. That is, your sweatshirt won't change its shape, the material won't ball up and it will serve you for several years, well, unless you lose it.

You ask what's eco-friendly about polyester? It's recycled polyester, the kind made from used plastic beverage bottles. Why is it important? Recycling polyester means reducing landfill waste. Polyester can be recycled eight times, and during such processing CO2 emissions are much lower, by up to 75%.
